Welcom to the Orthodontic World Institute

"Orthodontic World Institute" was founded by prof. Dr. José Duran von Arx in 2003 in Barcelona. The goal of the OWI is research, innovation and knowledge sharing in orthodontics. Professor Jose Duran von Arx is a former head of the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Barcelona, Director of the Master in Orthodontics in the Department of Orthodontics, founder of the Orthodontics Department at the Barcelona Children’s Hospital, ​​author of 3 books and over 300 scientific articles, winner of two research awards from GIRSO (Groupement International pour la Recherche Scientifique en Stomatologie et Odontologie), researcher in functional apparatus, developer of the MFS stimulotherapy apparatus and “Clear Click” aesthetic and self-ligating bracket.
